Elite Electronics offers its Customers the highest quality fabricated fiber optic cable assemblies for use in data communications, telecommunications and/or CATV applications. Elite's applications engineers have worked closely with our strategic manufacturing partners to ensure that each fiber optic cable assembly has been designed and fabricated with component parts that meet or exceed accepted industry performance standards (e.g., ANSI/TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, Telcordia, NTT, et cetera). Our demanding performance standards for fabricated fiber optic cable assemblies require that each assembly be serialized for testing and quality tracking purposes. Then each termination is 100% visually inspected before the fiber optic cable assembly is fully optically tested for 'insertion and return losses.' Each fabricated assembly's test readings are then rerecorded for traceability to its factory acceptance measurements. Prior to shipment, each shipping lot is inspected on a random basis using accepted industry criterion for product performance. To further ensure product quality, each shipment contains identified correlation samples complete with the data for each sample.
When ordering patch cord or custom trunk cable assemblies, customers can specify either Optical Fiber, Nonconductive, Riser (OFNR) rated cable for use in riser applications that must meet or exceed the requirements of ANSI/UL 1666-1997: Standard Test for Flame Propagation Height of Electrical and Optical-Fiber Cable Installed Vertically in Shafts and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) NEC 2005 Art 770.51(B) FPN; or, Optical Fiber, Nonconductive, Plenum (OFNP) rated cable for use in heating and air conditioning plenum applications that must meet or exceed the requirements of ANSI/UL 1666-1997 and NFPA Standard 90A: Standard for the Installation of Air Conditioning & Ventilating Systems.
All Elite Electronics
fabricated fiber optic patch cord and custom trunk cable
assemblies are optically and electrically inspected and tested
using accepted industry test procedures as recommended by the
